If you have taken the cat to be scanned at a vets, i am assuming, if the cat was ready to give birth the vet would have stated this at the time, so that should not be an immediate concern, also, did the vet comment on the cat being underweight? at 6 months, alot of cats go through a 'leggy/lanky' stage, so may not be underweight at all. Can i suggest you put a paper collar around the cat, with your contact numbers on it, and obviously do not feed it in the meantime, as hard as this seems, as if it was someones cat, they could be very distressed at someone else feeding her, i know i would be. Also posters in the area, you originally found her, and perhaps the local shops etc. Sadly if the cat is healthy, rescue centres like the RSPCA, are full to bursting with cats and kittens at the moment, with no chance of healthy cats just taken off the streets, getting in, without a small amount of leg work, to establish if this cat is truely a stray.

Hia Bec, do you still have this cat because i could come and get her, i think my neighbour is going to take her in but even if she doesn't i could keep her for a while myself and if no1 turns up to collect her in the near future i could rehome her myself. At the very least i could get her wormed and flea'd and have her spayed so we don't end up with more homeless kittens. Let me know wot you doing about her x
