Electerrific Posted November 21, 2011 Posted November 21, 2011 I bet it's only a matter of time before the annual appearance of the famously jolly paternal red-coat offends someone, and is 'renamed' something like "End of year person"?
Plain Talker Posted November 21, 2011 Posted November 21, 2011 One word. Four syllables. Pre-pos-ter-ous!
HeadingNorth Posted November 21, 2011 Posted November 21, 2011 Highly doubtful. The Christian Church managed to hijack the name of the Yuletide festival, and hang the name of St. Nicholas around the original legend, but they've never managed to obliterate it altogether, and at this point it's unlikely they would even try. Indeed, they're more likely to campaign for his retention.
Harleyman Posted November 21, 2011 Posted November 21, 2011 I bet it's only a matter of time before the annual appearance of the famously jolly paternal red-coat offends someone, and is 'renamed' something like "End of year person"? A clear case ot trolling if ever there was one
Halibut Posted November 21, 2011 Posted November 21, 2011 A clear case ot trolling if ever there was one Hardly. It's neither offensive or controversial, just a bit dull.
CXC3000 Posted November 21, 2011 Posted November 21, 2011 And then they'll blame it on the Muslims...
Chun Li Posted November 21, 2011 Posted November 21, 2011 I bet it's only a matter of time before the annual appearance of the famously jolly paternal red-coat offends someone, and is 'renamed' something like "End of year person"? He should just be banned the amount he costs me each year.
andyofborg Posted November 21, 2011 Posted November 21, 2011 given that he appears earlier and earlier each year, he should at least be discouraged until the end of november
Bulgarian Posted November 21, 2011 Posted November 21, 2011 Will get changed to "non-gender specific gift delivery operative"
