Hi Abbey, do you have any local charities near by? Also it depends what sort of volunteer work you want i guess, i have done a lot of volunteering for Epilepsy Charities online... Online marketing for them etc..

I started volunteering at my local youth club at 17 and within a year i began my youthworker training. Very enjoyable job which i did until last summer where i got made redundant due to cutbacks in the service.

 

But it was a thoroughly enjoyable experience. Maybe look into that? Good luck with your ventures

The Red Cross and St John's ambulance both have 'out of hours' meetings. Depending on what you do, you can volunteer at events which happen in the evenings and at weekends.

Hi, Home- start are always looking for new volunteers. Its helping vunerable mums (and dads) with children under the age of 5 years by going into their homes and offering support and advice. Lovely voluntary placement! Sorry dont know the number but if you google Homestart sheffield, the website will tell you more

http://www.hbsradio.co.uk, they're always looking for volunteers to fund-raise for them etc, I used to work for them up to about April this year, when I left for what I thought was a new job for SYP, but even though I do still work for SYP, it's not the job I originally left for.
