I'm just about to finish an oil painting ... been working on and off (mainly off) on it for 25 years.

I want to have high quality prints of it made on canvas. Pinders can do the prints onto canvas but having spoken to them, they would like to work from a high quality digital photo rather from photocopying.

Obviously, I can take pictures just like anyone else can but the picture needs to be perfect (a true representation) which is far beyond my means.

Is there anyone on here who can recommend/are such a photographer?

It's also occurred to me that it may be possible to scan (not photocopying as such) the painting to produce what I'm after.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. :)

If you get stuck r I can do it with studio lights and a large enough camera for the purpose

Thanks Ian ... I could well be in touch! I'm just finishing off a few bits and bobs on it. I'll PM you.

Alcoblog,

I have a 5x4" camera I could use to reproduce your painting with. This would allow the posters to be enlarged to any size you wanted. Ring me if you want to discuss any aspect of this.

I've been staring at the painting for ages, but I can't spot a dead wasp anywhere .....

What painting? ... I haven't even posted it! :D
