murf Posted November 15, 2011 Posted November 15, 2011 hi all had a call today from corrinas mum at croft kennels to say they had come across two ferrets . they asked for my help as i have my own ferrets. went and borrowed a cat carrier from crookes vets . thankyou phil at crookes your a star .the 2 ferrets were just over the public footpath at the swallownest end of the park . caught them no problem. initially corrina and co think they may have been dumped . but i have taken a close look at these ferrets and they are stunning . teeth . nails . ears immaculate look like pets and not workers . very very friendly . i think they may have been stolen and then dumped. i have informed all the usual folk so please if any one is missing two gorgeous ferritinos please ring me on 07920102931 i dont want to put a description up as want to make sure if they have been stolen they go back to there rightful owners , many thanks j
Rainrescue Posted November 15, 2011 Posted November 15, 2011 Thats kind of you to take in Murf - lets hope they get re-united and home soon - surely nobody has gone and dumped them when they have been so well looked after.
Moonbird Posted November 15, 2011 Posted November 15, 2011 Thats kind of you to take in Murf - lets hope they get re-united and home soon - surely nobody has gone and dumped them when they have been so well looked after. I was thinking this too...but Peter was well cared for as well and he didn't want him back either so hmm, lets hope that these two are luckier. Well done for taking them in, keeping them safe and helping them Murf
murf Posted November 15, 2011 Author Posted November 15, 2011 thankyou , we have had ferrets many years and these 2 gorgeous ferritinos are really lovely i truly cant believe these have been dumped ,there temperaments are fantastic. they have just ate a hearty meal and wanting to play as though they have been here forever . so please any one spread the word i hope the owners come forward . if not got them lined up with a top home already . . if they were mine i would move heaven and earth to find them . thanks j x
terminator Posted November 15, 2011 Posted November 15, 2011 If they appear that well looked after might pay to get them micro chiped checked.
murf Posted November 15, 2011 Author Posted November 15, 2011 yep good idea will get em checked tomorrow thankyou
sezbetz Posted November 15, 2011 Posted November 15, 2011 Hi - got your text but will reply on here as I am here now!! No reports of any missing that would match those two I am afraid. Def check for a microchip although sadly many ferrets are not chipped. If they had come into the rescue I would also be ringing around vets, registering them on the RSPCA website and possibly even poster the area they were found. i will of course let you know if anyone gets in touch that is missing two that ,atch the decription. Sadly it is not uncommon for 'well cared for' looking ferrets to come into the rescue as strays and not then find the owner. Good luck though and you know how to contact me if you need anything.
murf Posted November 15, 2011 Author Posted November 15, 2011 thankyou . yep done everything you have said and more . just hoping someone loves these two cuties and wants them back as there top thankyou j xx
terminator Posted November 15, 2011 Posted November 15, 2011 Saddly anyone not chipping a ferret is a fool im afraid knowing there nature as great escape artists.
sezbetz Posted November 15, 2011 Posted November 15, 2011 well with all the rescues I have taken in - which is quite a number in the last two years not one has had a chip very sad. Glad you have a good home lined up though J if owner not found. Not you that is taking them is it!!
