Wednesday were shocking at times yesterday against morcambe with a full strength side and still have an away problem some genuine owls tell me And united well are just as predictible as the weather and can't even man up for the last ten minutes of a game. For what its worth I think Wednesday should be easily ok for top 6 but the blades well id snap someones hand off for a top 6 finish! I think the thing what makes us lot think we could do well, is we have a pretty good squad, there are ready made replacments in just about every position, something we haven't had the luxury of for many a moon. I think we're just hoping the others haven't which is usually the case in league 1. Most get found out in the end, Huddersfield did at the weekend, Rhodes was away on international duty for Scotland, and lost 4-1 against Swindon who are in a league below. We stood up with out the washing machine for two games and drew one and won one.

Tbh honest madine and johnson were your worst 2 players madine did newt but roll about cheating and johnson looks like an imperial league player . Having said that Wednesday do have a good enough sqaud to easy finish top 6 like you say cover in every area somethin we don't have which is why id be over the moon with top 6

He is one of these thoughtful players abit like Tudgay was, his passing and keeping of the ball was excellent, he brings other players into the game and is not a Mellor type to run headlong into defenders. The rolling around for a penalty was a tad embarrassing I'll give you that one as in my opinion it was a nothing tackle. But his overall play is very good.
ukdobby Posted November 15, 2011 Posted November 15, 2011 I think the Megster has built a side capable of getting us out of this league and maybe hold their own in the championship,they do knock the ball about well and when needed have the height to punt the ball forward,we need another decent wide man because JJ and Sedgy arn't up to it and if Marshall goes back we don't have a replacement.
Jazzybmzoo Posted November 15, 2011 Posted November 15, 2011 The thing about Wednesday this season that is most apparent to me having watched them a lot, is that G-Meg (his pimp name) has instilled that will to win & do-or-die attitude in them. How many of the games this season would we have got nowt in, over the past god knows how many preceding seasons? The game against United a case in point, Brentford last week etc Yes, they'll be blips like at Carlisle but as a whole our heads stay up and you *expect* them to win, to score, to get something out of the game. THAT is worth any amount of cash in the bank and prima donna players in the side. My mate said at the weekend that we are 2/3 players short of having a very good side and I agree. OK, we're not world beaters but all the ingrediants are there now; strong spine, top goalscorer with options up front, combative midfield & a half decent keeper. Just need some additional flair and pace which hopefully Milan will provide in the NY and we'll kick on from there. UTO!

Having said that Wednesday do have a good enough sqaud to easy finish top 6 like you say cover in every area somethin we don't have which is why id be over the moon with top 6 JJ was Bobar but Madine though not up to his usual standard did have a half decent game,think he was just a bit rusty,Bennet would have been my 2nd worst player as their winger knocked some decent crosses in the 2nd half. Yes I think we deffo top 6 place but seems no stopping Charlton though they were pants against us,Huddersfield are also a decent side but their biggest test will come at our place.

Owls should know more than most, nothing usually goes to plan in Sheffield football.
