Sheffield Wanderers Walking Group - Cannon Hall, Sunday 20th November

A nice pleasant 8 mile walk through the rolling countryside to the west of Barnsley with a pleasing combination of streams, ornamental lakes, dark woodland, open fields and the historic buildings of Cannon Hall and Cawthorne. No great hills on this one.

Meet on village green in Cawthorne at 10.15 for 10.30 start. S75 4HL is the postcode for The Spencer Arms nearby. There is no public transport for this walk. As always, new walkers welcome.

What a very strange walk today with all that ghostly mist, felt like a scene from American Werewolf in London. Great fun though.

Nice walk, despite the thick blanket of fog. We could have been anywhere lol.
