Evei Posted November 13, 2011 Posted November 13, 2011 Hello Can anyone recommend as good beginner knitter book? Looking for something with pictures as well as descriptions, I have done the very basics in the past so I'm sure it will come back to me. Fancy making some scarves and hats this year as I guess they are nice and simple to make. If you have the IBSN number too that would be great! Thanks Edit: Oopps! This needs to go in the knitter one. Please remove this one, sorry!
Orangezoo Posted November 17, 2011 Posted November 17, 2011 Like you I have done the very basic in the past and learned the rest from Debbie Bliss' How to Knit:The Definitive Knitting Course: The Definitive Knitting Course Complete with Step-by-step Techniques, Stitch Libraries and Projects for Your Home and Family I personally found it useful
laura16 Posted November 20, 2011 Posted November 20, 2011 Have you thought about the art of knitting magazine. I have got the art of crochet and subscribed to it, because you do a different square for your blanket each week it teaches you different techniques it also has lots of patterns in it, a great question and answer section and a stich libarary
