One of the great guitarist and songwriter. I just read that two concerts are being organized in Liverpool to mark his 10th anniversary.

I do hope that there are some nice out-takes and unfinished nuggets that could be put together to create a 'new' album. Come on Olivia and Dhani!

 

Also, Chris Evans played two songs from GH yesterday in commemoration of his passing. I knew, just knew he'd play My Sweet Lord and Got My Mind Set On You. Play something else!

Don't know about that myself. If an artist shelved an idea, then they probably never meant it to be released! These posthumous 'new albums' tend to be a bit ghoulish, and fankly not usually very good...

Dhani wasn't an original member of the Wilburys, but did some overdubs on the remasters and was credited with the name Ayrton Wilbury. Dhani has had his own band for some time, 'thenewno2' (a reference to The Prisoner).

 

Well as you mentioned, "thenewno2", just attended their live concert in US in september at "Alpine Valley Music Theatre". They rocked, would like to add the name of "Oliver Hecks" also in here ...

Someone else who knows thenewno2! A friend and I love them but I've never known anyone else who has heard of them. Was Ollie playing with them? I know he took a bit of a break from the band to concentrate on other things a while back.
