wednesday1 10 #25 Posted November 12, 2011 Just remind us all of when Honda, Nissan and Toyota built new factories to produce cars in this country. Just remember how Thatcher closed Firth-Brown Ltd, Hadfields Ltd, Brown Bayleys Ltd etc,etc,etc,etc,etc,etc........................... and they were just in Sheffield! Grandad.Malky 11 #26 Posted November 12, 2011 Stop crying about the hiring and firing You lot supported many of the policys that Labour implemented during 1997-2010, we are now reaping the whirlwind so get over it. Thatcher started the financial revolution ……….. “New Labour” just carried it on
 Share this content via...

choogling 14 #28 Posted November 12, 2011 To be fair, you can get 4 pints of milk from morrisons for under £1.50. Perhaps if the parents were to spend less on booze, fags, satelite TV, mobile phones and contracts, then they may be able to afford £1.50 for four pints of milk Well said, but are they allowed to take milk to school
 Share this content via...
love_rat 10 #29 Posted November 12, 2011 Thatcher started the financial revolution ……….. “New Labour” just carried it on Nonsense. Labour introduced mass immigration, undermining the british workforce. They flooded the country with migrants forcing up the cost of housing. Labour were very keen to fire the people at the bottom, while rewarding the very public sector bosses whos incompetence caused the problem in the first place. They introduced many rights in the workplace, which was great for the people who had these cushy jobs. Not great for the army of temps who could not have a permanent job, while the covered the 12 month sabatical of the person they were covering. Lets not also forget the temps who were often paid far less than the actual workers.
 Share this content via...
love_rat 10 #30 Posted November 12, 2011 Well said, but are they allowed to take milk to school Why not have a drink of milk before they set off? Again, kids these days always have a can of red bull, or an energy drink. Perhaps instead of paying for a can of red bull, they could use that money to buy some milk? shims 10 #32 Posted November 12, 2011 I have to say, I wish we had a Margaret Thatcher in power now. Yes, it would certainly be good for a laugh!
 Share this content via...
love_rat 10 #33 Posted November 12, 2011 We need a thatcher to sort out this country (and the current ranks of the conservatives). Benefit scroungers, the EU, people in cushy public sector non jobs, would all be in for a serious handbaging
 Share this content via...
love_rat 10 #34 Posted November 12, 2011 In the 70`s there were no mobile phones or satellites …………… if you are going to be smug do try and keep up. SO they can buy milk (for £1.50) if the were to do without many of the things I mentioned? Still, easier to blame thatcher
 Share this content via...
HeadingNorth 11 #35 Posted November 12, 2011 I think she stopped free school milk Not exactly true. She was Education Secretary at the time and fought fiercely to retain free school milk, but the policy was pushed through against her wishes. The only thing you could really accuse her of was not resigning on principle - and that wouldn't have kept free school milk. Heath was going to get rid of it anyway, no matter what she did. So you read The Daily Mail, but even they couldn't deny the fact that Bing Bang started in 1986 and was a cornerstone of Thatchers de-regulation programme.
