user2019 Posted November 12, 2011 Posted November 12, 2011 Im just wanting to know if it is possible for me to get freeview in my bedroom upstairs even though there is no ariel up there? I have freeview working downstairs in my living room and Im wondering if theres some way that it can be transmitted from the living room to upstairs? Thanks!
patrick38 Posted November 12, 2011 Posted November 12, 2011 you could alway buy a decent indoor ariel ..
richb99 Posted November 12, 2011 Posted November 12, 2011 You can buy a 2-way distribution/booster for about £5 (I have one if you're interested). Then run a coax cable to the bedroom and use an additional set top freeview box. There may be ways to transmit the signal wirelessly but I'm not sure.
user2019 Posted November 12, 2011 Author Posted November 12, 2011 so how does the 2 way distribution work? and where would i put it?
mattyjd Posted November 12, 2011 Posted November 12, 2011 split the feed that goes in to ur living room.
richb99 Posted November 12, 2011 Posted November 12, 2011 Sent you a PM describing setting up a two way distribution/signal booster. Hope this helps.
0742Sheff Posted November 13, 2011 Posted November 13, 2011 you could alway buy a decent indoor ariel .. This works most of the time.
Strix Posted November 13, 2011 Posted November 13, 2011 the device you're asking for is a 'tv signal sender' - just google for it, there are lots
Leah-Lacie Posted November 13, 2011 Posted November 13, 2011 I used to live in a terrible freeview reception area, an indoor aerial just wouldn't work, so we got a cheap outdoor aerial, which we put in the loft, and made a tiny hole in the ceiling to drop the cable into the bedroom, magic
user2019 Posted November 13, 2011 Author Posted November 13, 2011 Thanks for all the help guys. It all sounds really complicated lol, apart from the indoor ariel, I might just manage to do that!
