There are people who are bigoted thugs and people who aren't. EDL and Taleban are both in the former category. If (perish the thought) one of our fine upstanding EDL lads had happened to be born, (replete with the same temperament) an Afghani in Afghanistan, would he have turned out to be a freedom loving, progressive reformer and champion of human rights or...a member of the Taliban?

 

Cultural conditioning may dictate the differences in how far the local thugs will be able to go in any given society, but their basic mentality is the same the world over.

If you have foresight yes. Give the EDL power and everything everyone has fought for in the past would be in vain. What you fail to see is that both extremists are as dangerous as each other.

If the EDL had any respect today they would have been elsewhere rather than getting ****** in a pub. The only thing they respect is , beer, giro and aggro.

 

Oh, and beating the crap out of each other when no one else is around.

I find it funny how they are trying to deny that a fight took place in the Red Lion when it clearly did. And given the EDL's track record the police will have put 2 and 2 together.

 

And given that the Red Lion is in what is quite possibly the most heavily policed part of London the police reaction was always going to be on the heavy side.
