wendy222 Posted November 11, 2011 Posted November 11, 2011 hi can anyone give me ideas for different food for meals as im a childminder and my minded kids are ages from 9 months and 5 years and fed up of cooking same food thanks
taxman Posted November 12, 2011 Posted November 12, 2011 What do you usually give them, do you cook from scratch or use convenience foods? And how picky are they? If you can start them on good wholesome foods from an early age you'll have set them up for life but then again as a childminder do you have time to lovingly prepare things over a stove or do you need quick and easy?

taxman Posted November 12, 2011 Posted November 12, 2011 i cook from scratch lv xxx I remember going to a childminder when I was small. She looked after 3-4 kids at the same time and all I remember is beans and chips and the usual "kids stuff" that she would make while we were there. As Winter is drawing in bakes, stews and soups are a good option. They can also be prepared in advance then just heated up so you aren't constantly having to look over your shoulder whilst cooking to see what the children are doing.
luckyloo11 Posted November 25, 2011 Posted November 25, 2011 Shepherds pie or cowboy pie go down well in our house. Or tuna pasta bake or sausage pasta bake, my kids love these. Mmm making me hungry thinking of food.
chorba Posted November 26, 2011 Posted November 26, 2011 Baked vegetables (broccoli, carrots, potatoes) with grated cheddar on the top. Presentation is very important for kids, we tend to neglect it.
