What about renting a room in someone else's house? This could probably include gas, elec, water. As long as they were not getting council tax reduction for single occupancy it could also mean no council tax as you are a student.

 

It may bring more independence, and changing one lot of hassles for another, sometimes that can feel easier than going around in circles in your original predicament!

 

It can be done but inevitably in ten years from now your peers, who put up with staying at home, will possibly be in a better position to buy their own home or have more savings to fund uni for example.

 

Though you may well be able to afford it now, will mean your income goes on the basic living costs and not as far as driving lessons for instance.
