If you have an Android phone, I know you can get AVG Anti Virus from the Android market. You can probably also get a firewall, but I have not looked yet. I have never been that concerned with either for my phone, I will more than likely only close the stable door, once the horse has bolted.

there are quite a few.

 

avg and lookout for example are 2 for android.

 

personally I cant see any point in them. AVG I was a bit wary of as that also scanned text messages. It removed 4 messages I had sent to myself from my work phone saying they were potentially malicious... uninstalled it straight away. :hihi:

If you regularly engage in 'risky' activities - downloading apps from untrusted sources, browsing 'dodgy' links, then it might be worth installing one.

Lookout is probably the best option on Android.

 

However, even though Android Malware does exist, I am yet to meet anyone who has encountered any OR anyone who has been saved from it by using one of these apps.
