Rubyloobs08 Posted November 10, 2011 Posted November 10, 2011 Tuesday night! woke up Wednesday morning to find that both my "sporty" type wing mirrors had been nicked!!! Partner took our dog for a walk about 7.30pm Tue night and noticed a car with only sidelights on (strange anyway!!!!) with two young lads driving really slow around our estate, he was out 10 minutes and saw the car 3 times! 2 weeks earlier, at 2am, we heard our car alarm going off and neighbour said they saw some lads running round the corner and jump into a car and speed off!! £60 it has now cost us to repair this!!!!!!!! i can't put it into words how angry i am with these people, so close to bloody christmas too!!!!! just warning you all to keep a look out, i have contacted the police who came last night and went to see our neighbours to see if they had seen/heard anything or anything of theirs had gone missing. Im in Woodhouse Mill by the way!!
rudds1 Posted November 10, 2011 Posted November 10, 2011 to be on the safe side have you put non sports type ones on the car now ?
JOHN HABS Posted November 13, 2011 Posted November 13, 2011 Its best to keep your vehicle plain and simple, that way it makes it less an attraction for would be thieves and the police. Will putting sporty looking mirrors on the car make it go faster or add to it valuation, wing mirrors are put on the vehicle for one reason only......to aid better all round vision.
denlin Posted November 13, 2011 Posted November 13, 2011 They should be able to put whatever flaming mirrors they want on without some thieving little scroat nicking them or attracting notice of police unless they were of an illegal size:roll:
MyGirl Posted November 13, 2011 Posted November 13, 2011 I assume your other half reported the very suspicious and strange behaviour to the police before all this happened? Its a shame that this has happened to you, but perhaps a bit of pro-active reporting may have avoided all the trouble.
