schong2111 Posted November 10, 2011 Posted November 10, 2011 Does anyone know of anywhere where you can purchase a white 'peace' poppy, apart from online? I haven't seen any being sold yet this year.
Supertramp Posted November 10, 2011 Posted November 10, 2011 Why? It's not like the red ones promote war?
schong2111 Posted November 10, 2011 Author Posted November 10, 2011 Yes, but I'd like to buy something that helps and remembers all the victims of warzones throughout the world and not just the ones that were harmed as a result of fighting. Doe anyone know where i can purchase one?

Doe anyone know where i can purchase one? Well to be honest isn't this what the red poppy represents anyway ? My son was a soldier who served in Iraq and Bosnia and i wear my red poppy with pride so go on wear a red poppy:thumbsup:
schong2111 Posted November 10, 2011 Author Posted November 10, 2011 I have donated to the British legion, as i do every year, but I would rather wear a white poppy, as i think everyone affected by war, not just soldiers, should be remembered and should benefit from some charity also.
schong2111 Posted November 10, 2011 Author Posted November 10, 2011 If someone would like to post an answer to my actual question rather than question why i want a white poppy that would be lovely, thanks.
fairyworld14 Posted November 10, 2011 Posted November 10, 2011 Why dont you contact the british legion and ask them where you can get them from ! Im sure they can help ! I have never personally heard of the white ones ,but that doesnt mean they dont exist ! Its worth a try
Halibut Posted November 10, 2011 Posted November 10, 2011 Make one. How difficult ban that be? Or get a red one and paint it white.
horribleblob Posted November 10, 2011 Posted November 10, 2011 I'd suggest contacting the Sheffield Quakers at the Friends Meeting House, in St James Street, next to the Blue Moon Cafe, near the Cathedral tram stop.
