shuja Posted November 9, 2011 Posted November 9, 2011 I am student and not very outgoing person but now really wanted to go out and make friends. For a moment, I am not very familiar with Sheffield but I liking it now as it is a nice small quiet city. Yeah but its true that sometime, its too quiet that you get scared of having not in contact with humans . Can any one list some nice events in Sheffield just for some fun. This way, I will try making my friends circle from one to many . And if any one also in my situation and want to go out is welcome to join. As you all know that (Alone + Alone = Not alone ) .
Jive Knight Posted November 10, 2011 Posted November 10, 2011 I suggest taking up modern jive dancing. The great advantage of this is that when you go to a class, everyone rotates around at frequent intervals (that's why you don't need to bring a partner), and then during the freestyle parts of the evening most people change partners with every track. Together, those mean that you get to meet and dance with a lot of people. Even if you are not very outgoing, a lot of us are quite chatty and will do the outgoing part of starting a friendship. It's a very social evening. And the dancing is a lot of fun too - a very easy style to learn. Check out Blitz at Crookes Social Club any Wednesday or Thursday night. Ceroc do the same dance style, but their Sheffield classes (Tuesday night at the Davy Club) are smaller so there are fewer potential friends to choose from.
