Listed below is the current overview of labradors awaiting their forever homes with Labrador Welfare. :help:

Further details can be obtained from http://www.labradorwelfare.org. Interested parties will need to have completed one of the online application forms from the site:

Jake, is unfortunately still awaiting his forever home. A gorgeous chocolate neutered male aged 4 years when he arrived last August. Let's find this super boy a home soon  There is really nothing wrong with this boy and he does not deserve to be overlooked.

Marley, black male, aged 18 months

Harry, black male aged 5-6 years

Ozzie, black neutered male aged 3 years

Barney, black male 3 years

Grit, black neutered male aged 8 years looking for a foster home (see site for further details)

Jo, black female neutered bitch aged 7 years

I can also confirm that Jimmy has now gone to his forever home, and Bruce (the labrador shrunk in the wash) has been reserved.

We need this ineedahome.co.uk website promoting.

There should be some cards printed - and distributed

This is a fabulous website - but it needs the people of sheffield to help get it out there in the public domain.

Anyone who cares and wants to help - please do so - promote the website.

We have now had our long term foster boy Rudy from Lab Welfare for 6 weeks. He has just had his photo taken nose to nose snoozing with one of our 4 cats :hihi: and was then scared off the sofa by our youngest cat. It really is worthwhile long term fostering if you can. We wouldn't be without him now. xx

Picies would be fabulous Auntiebiz, and video's make all the difference in the world. I know it takes some getting used to - but when people are looking for a dog, if they see them on the video or in good quality photos, they get a better understanding of the dog's temperament.

We load the video's into youtube - its easy - once you get the hang of it, or ask any teenager - they will be whiz at it.

Hee hee, no teenagers in our house, but if some kind person can let me know what to do I can upload some pics onto here. Lab Welfare have been sent some photos as well so they should be updating their website soon with them. The one of Rudy nose to nose with one of our cats is lovely, especially as he'd never lived with cats before :)

Hi do's any know how much it is to rehome one of the dogs, also its says to fill out the online form but I have looked on the site and can not find the form to fill in on it thanks

Auntibiz - most modern mobile phones will video now. Look on our http://www.rainrescue.co.uk website and see some of the videos that we have done for the dogs. It makes a huge difference.

Once we video them on a camera - then we plug the camera into a pc and load it onto the pc. Then - create a youtube account - and copy the video into that youtube account - there you go. then copy that link all over wherever you want to show the dog off. You can even get the lab welfare guys to put it onto their website or ask the ineedahome.co.uk people to put it on there - as well as putting it on here.

Dullas - contact Lab welfare themselves via the contact info on their website - they can point you in the right direction - good luck

Hi Dullas

Thank you for your post. If you visit http://www.labradorwelfare.org, then click on Adopting a Dog then click on general rehoming (adoption) the application form is at the bottom of the page. Scroll down and do not open the PDF as you are unable to complete this via computer. Go further down to the bit that reads:

"If you have access to MS Word you can get a copy of the form in DOC format by clicking here. You can then attach the completed form to an e-mail and send it to us at Application For Re-Homing. (The subject line of the message has been set for your convenience!)"

there are two links here, one for the application form and the other which opens an email to attach the application form and send to Labrador Welfare.

Please mention Sheffield Forum when making contact and let us know how you get on, thank you for considering rehoming a dog :) Hopefully you will get sorted.
