Bad Accident road closed a6102 Wharncliffe Side

Just heard there's been a bad accident on the Main Road A6102 just past Wharncliffe Side (but before water treatment works) road closed diversion up Brightholmlee Lane but very busy

Been loads of accidents on that stretch, including many fatals, speed has never been reduced before, why should a no injury accident now cause a reduction?
