If you were giving something away would you expect a thankyou ?

I have been getting rid of aload of things in my house lately, as I'm moving soon and things we don't use or need I have offered on here for free, the many people that have replied and collected have been very polite and nice and appriciative. however I have had someone just say: where and when can I collect : after I offered something. Im reluctant to give this person the item as I find it rude, is this just me being funny

I would think you can nicky nacky noo and not let them have it manners cost nothing. Some folks are just rude and selfish :/

croftybum kindly gave me some clothes for my granddaughter and she wouldnt take the money i offered her. Very nice lady and very nice gesture. My granddaughter loved the clothes by the way - especially the fur waistcoat x x x

I used to give things away but found I was waiting for people to say 'yay or nay' too long. I just take things to the dumpit these days, I just cant be bothered waiting.

Oh please please if you realy dont need things and are wiling to just take things to the dumpit could you let me have things instead to give to rainrescue for their brik o brack stall or contact rainrescue on here and shel tell you the nearest place to drop them off. I dropped my last things off at the little cafe down station road woodhouse but my shops on prince of wales rd if thats easier to get to
