Speed Demon Posted November 3, 2011 Posted November 3, 2011 just been on their official website and have found their latest processors below but can not find a proper comparison chart for the whole lot, i am only wanting to know so i do not get into any pitfalls of buying a system and find it is not the best in terms of speed, so are there any charts and can people tell me in simple terms the pros and cons of each one and what they all do, cheers AMD FX Processors AMD A-Series Processors AMD Phenom™ II Processors AMD Athlon™ II Processors AMD Sempron™ Processor
Ghozer Posted November 3, 2011 Posted November 3, 2011 from bottom to top, are worst to best... with Sempron being cut-down, budget chips, and the FX being for the high-end Server market, the Athlon II are often dual or triple core, while Phenom II are quad or 6 core, and A-Series are low-end server..
Stvoider Posted November 3, 2011 Posted November 3, 2011 I've always found this site useful:- http://www.cpubenchmark.net/
Speed Demon Posted November 4, 2011 Author Posted November 4, 2011 So if i bought a computer with an AMD phenom II x6 inside, would that be a real good and fast system to have on a budget
Stvoider Posted November 4, 2011 Posted November 4, 2011 Perhaps you should tell us about the whole, rather than just the processor then we can say whether it would be a fast system.
Speed Demon Posted November 4, 2011 Author Posted November 4, 2011 here it is and not bad for the price, the budget was between 500-600 quid... http://www.complexonline.co.uk/products/Computers/Desktop/HP/HP-Pavilion-p6792uk-Phenom-II-X6-1045T-2-7-GHz?prodid=670644&info=2 better details found here... http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c02721790&cc=ad&dlc=en&lc=en&jumpid=reg_r1002_usen#N35

Stills seems blazingly fast to me (4GB DDR3 RAM, on Win7 Pro 64, in miniITX/spacesaver format), but then I'm no heavy-duty PC gamer/modder/tweaker (....anymore ).

Will outperform the AMD by a mile, plus overclocking on the Sandy's is very good I know this one is expired, but dell deals like this turn up all the time: http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/dell-vostro-desktop-sandybridge-i5-2400-4gb-500gb-wifi-1gb-radeon-w7-pro-3-year-994373
Speed Demon Posted November 4, 2011 Author Posted November 4, 2011 quite a few people on here seem to recommend dell computers, i am assuming that dell are a solid brand to trust and what is sandybridge, are they in all intel chips
