Same here - 5 kids from age 3 to 15, 3 dogs, 6 cats, 3 chickens and a parrot. Some of the animals were here before some of the kids and some came after. My kids have been brought up to love & respect them and I think our lives are enriched from havin animals around

I grew up with lots of animals and even at 7 months my mum and dad started to teach me how to behave around animals , none of our cats were rehomed because i came into this world. Its also good for children to see a pet as part of the family and even a small child can learn from having a pet in the house.

me too, at one point growing up we had 3 huge german shepherds, cat, lads of fish and at one point a cockatiel all in a 2 bed house....complete bedlam but fabulous! x
