trev.wells13 Posted November 2, 2011 Posted November 2, 2011 hi, would like everyone,s veiws on c.b42, the change in how child benefit should be paid to both parents who have shared care of children when seperated.
crofty_bum Posted November 2, 2011 Posted November 2, 2011 its a nightmare! trust me. I tried it for years and they kept saying the person who has the children the most nights gets the benefit i.e 7 nights in a week who has them the most. if you and your ex partner cannot agree who gets the benefit you both have to claim and they will work out who should get the benefit or in exceptional circumstances they may split it between you both but its very rare from what I can gather from the saga I went through
scoop Posted November 2, 2011 Posted November 2, 2011 I think two parents who can not agree a simple thing like who should receive the child benefit should have their heads knocked together and told to pull their socks up.
crofty_bum Posted November 2, 2011 Posted November 2, 2011 Scoop I do agree but if 1 parent who gets the child benefit and spends said money on gadgets like mobiles, days out for himself, takeaways and car bits while the parent who doesnt recieve it is left to pay for uniform, school dinners, shoes, hair cuts etc etc ( things that said money should be spent on ) thats when chb office should get involved.
MaggieMo Posted November 3, 2011 Posted November 3, 2011 Ooooooooooo i can just see my sons daddy wanting to have his son more often if this comes about.
