mikem8634 Posted November 1, 2011 Posted November 1, 2011 Hi we've just seen an Akita lying on the roundabout at the exit from the Morrisons carpark Halfway. There were no visible injuries but it seemed a bit remote and may be concussed following a possible collision somewhere in the vicinity. It resisted any attempts to call it closer and I was wary about getting any nearer that about 10 ft. It had a collar of some sort but I couldn't check. It was neither friendly nor aggresive and was mostly a darker brown with cream legs and a black mask - beautiful dog. It eventually got tired of me being too close and yawned and wandered off. As it stood it seemed stiff in its back legs so may be injured or old. I followed it around the flats at Oxclose while another samaritan rang the police, council and RSPCA. It eventually settled in the dark at the back of the flats and the police arrived to take over. We left them waiting for the pet ambulance. Hope this has a happy ending.

mikem8634 Posted November 6, 2011 Author Posted November 6, 2011 No, afraid not - we were hoping for a bulletin from the police and we'll keep an eye out at the pound Thanks for asking
