A dog walking pub that's worth the trip!

Last weekend we took the houndlet and H for a moorland trample, and a pub lunch

Unfortunately the weather was a bit damper and a bit more bracing than reprts had suggested, so we were forced to retreat to the pub sooner than we'd have liked, but the roaring fire to defrost infront of, and the fantastic food made it worth getting comfortable an waiting for friends to descend from the hillside too

If anybody fancies taking their pooch somewhere further afield, I can strongly recommend a trip to The Cross Keys at Uppermill. Even the drive out there is pleasant and scenic!

Thanks Strix :) It's always great to add more doggy pubs to the list of places to go!

Try The Castle pub at bolsterstone, the ewden valley area has some great walks and only a short bus ride from sheffield.

Is the castle dog friendly? I live at Stocky and walk up round Bolsterstone etc most days but never tried the pub

We went to the Miners Arms at Eyam for NYE. The pub is really dog friendly and Eyam also has a brilliant tea room that welcome dogs in (and they normally get a doggie biccy) and their cakes are amazing. We also went to the Rutland Arms in Baslow for a meal and they are dog friendly...in fact there were more dogs than owners :hihi: xx
