alstromeria Posted October 31, 2011 Posted October 31, 2011 I'm sure this is an easy one. I'm conducting an interview with someone via email. The last time I did this, the recipient could not open the attachment that contained the questions (which was a MS word document). Basically, I want to send a set of questions which the recipient can read and write a reply under and send them back to me. Voila! But what's the best way of sending them? Would you type them directly onto a blank email or on an attachment which they may not be able to open? Please reply in one syllable words (joke!) Thank all
VideoPro Posted October 31, 2011 Posted October 31, 2011 Email. The recipient might not have MS Word.
alstromeria Posted October 31, 2011 Author Posted October 31, 2011 Email. The recipient might not have MS Word. Can they just type an answer though and send it back?
VideoPro Posted November 1, 2011 Posted November 1, 2011 For sure. That's what the reply bit is about
Love2print Posted November 1, 2011 Posted November 1, 2011 Can they just type an answer though and send it back? Not if they can't open the document to be able to read it. However, I am surprised the recipient doesn't have other word processing software that will open it. However, if you don't need the answers typed on the actual document you could just send a PDF. EDIT. Mis-read your post, ignore.
Mikes10 Posted November 1, 2011 Posted November 1, 2011 Create a simple textfile with your questions and send as an attachment explain to the recipient what you expect them to do with the file example layout ........................................................... 1) why is the Sky blue? answer ........................................................... 2) Do you believe in man-made climate change? answer ........................................................... 3) What is the square root of minus 1? answer ..........................................................
richardtj Posted November 1, 2011 Posted November 1, 2011 You could try converting the word file into PDF or plain text format so that it can be opened in any PC/ Mac
floyd77 Posted November 1, 2011 Posted November 1, 2011 You could try converting the word file into PDF or plain text format so that it can be opened in any PC/ Mac Why? Just use the email - no attachments!
alchresearch Posted November 1, 2011 Posted November 1, 2011 Another vote for email. If you must use a document, save it as RTF and that will open in Wordpad, which comes as standard with Windows.
