stanleyboy Posted November 5, 2011 Posted November 5, 2011 Sounds realy good. I walk in the Peak every weekend but can't manage a long walk like this. Enjoy everybody. You're right, it does sound a long way! But when you get going, you find that the distance isn't so bad when you've got somebody to chat to as you go along. With our group you'll find that there's usually around 20-30 people every week, and we all get along great and have a lot of fun. We don't route march either, preferring to take our time and enjoy our surroundings. Come and join us some time, you'll not regret it.
akoon Posted November 7, 2011 Posted November 7, 2011 The last time I did this walk I had to abandon the route half way round because the wind was so bad. Glad to say, we had wall-to-wall sunshine yesterday, and managed to finish no problem. Hope all the new people enjoyed the walk as much as I did.
