Memories of Fulwood Cottage Homes

Recommended Posts

Hi mune10366

There are a couple of discussion threads already in operation on the FCH which ex-children sent there are talking on. You might find the following helpful:

Fulwood cottage homes, cottam family in Sheffield History & Expats

Children's home/orphanage in Sheffield History & Expats

Best wishes,

Lavender

I lived on Crimicar Lane and my friends father was superintendant at the Cottage Homes. I knew no 'homers' by name but had some limited contact.

I regret to say that this was sometimes 'anti' but I had respect for the way they lived (survived). They were great hangers on to lorries up Crimicar Lane.

I went to school with a girl called Pauline Cain who lived at the Cottage home. That would be about 1956-7-1960?
