MARY POPPINS Posted October 30, 2011 Posted October 30, 2011 Sorry I don't post on here often, not good enough really but love looking at everyone's photos, but I hope someone will help me I've got a little Fuji f300 camera, really nice and does for me It has a dial on the top which I can use for 15x zoom, I know it has a further digital zoom, can anyone tell me how I use that please.
Strix Posted November 16, 2011 Posted November 16, 2011 Did you get this sorted? If it works like my canon, you need to find 'zoom' in the menu, and set it to 'on' - then when you use the dial on the top, the lens will go so far, then the digital zoom kicks in. In reality you're as well just taking the shot at the maximum optical zoom you can get, and cropping the photo afterwards. It's really difficult to get a clear image on maximum zoom, so a tripod of some description is useful (even if it's only a pocket one about 4" long. Use the self timer so you're not making the camera wobble when you press the button to take the pic
