Fishing at Crookes Valley Park

im going predator fishing at crookes valley park has anyone got any tips for me

im no fisherman but i've seen loads of quite big fish at the shallows on the left hand side just as you walk down to the pond. they always seem to be at the same spot, around 6pm ish.

i fish there a lot if its pike ur after then foreget it there isnt any.there is some nice carp and tench.take a match rod and fish for pearch on red maggot.

not been fishing on there for years might have to have another trip down used to be a brill place to fish

it's reputed to hold some zander but i've not personally seen one.

try and get some minnows or other small fish,there is some monster perch in there,my mate once had the biggest perch we've ever seen chase a little perch he'd hooked,i've caught perch near the 3lb mark and this was bigger than anything i've caught or seen !!

forget the carp you will be there all day there not interested in takin your bait they love sunbathin tho

It stops being a rumor when you see it though, as i did back in the early 2000's. It looked about 4Lb then.
