old tup   30 #1 Posted October 26, 2011 A couple of days ago I received a phone call number withheld of course, urging me to respond to instructions from an official sounding recording of a woman saying that I had a tax rebate.Press this button if you haven,t received a rebate press another if you have.If you are called don,t answer the tax people never contact you by phone only by letter, its just some scumbags trying the latest scam going after your bank details.Beware!:suspect:
 Share this content via...

Jacko83   10 #4 Posted October 28, 2011 Ive heard about a group of people targeting the older generation informing them they they are from a anti-virus company and theyve just detected a virus on the home owners computer, they then go on to say that the virus is deleting their hard drive and that they can fix it for a small fee of £35 by card over the phone.  I urge everyone who's grandparents have a computer and spend more time on the phone to you asking you how to do something than on the actual computer to warn them about this scam.
