final reply i'm tired of this thread now.

they should be role models because of the influence they have over the youngsters who hero -worship them so much

So they should be role models because they are role models?

That's circular reasoning in anyone's book.

yes well lets hope he is innocent of this particular accusation.

or could it be that his team mates have chosen to turn a deaf ear for reasons best known to themselves.

It's not just his team mates that turned a deaf ear, all the opposing players did as nobody complained on the pitch or immediately afterwards. It was only when a viewer complained to the police that the ball started rolling.

This is the most compelling evidence that no abuse took place for me.

will the FA bosses allow him to hold the england captain position while the police investigation is going on though.?

I can't be 100% sure obviously but I would imagine all players, before signing their contracts (for what they are worth!) are given a lecture about not bringing the game into disrepute, behaviour on/off the field, being role models for fans, particularly younger ones), so by signing their contracts they are agreeing to this. But remember, innocent until proven guilty

I only lip-read the final part of the comments by John Terry when it was shown on the TV over the weekend.

The comments did look like he was saying the three offensive words he's accused of using.

However, just before those words are used, the view of his speech is obscured by another player coming between John Terry and the camera, so it is feasible that the player is obscuring the camera's view of him shouting the whole of what he claims he actually said, which was "I didn't call him a... <insert offensive phrase here>", responding to the referee.

Or, what he COULD have said was 'I didn't SAY that'. Why use that offensive term if it doesn't figure in your vocabulary? Everyone knows that racism is rife, STILL both on and off the field and that lots of footballers have written in recent weeks of 'turning a deaf ear', the 'victim becoming the villain' etc etc. I don't know about role models but I think it is pretty obvious that John Terry and many more like him are over-entitled idiots who's only talent (questionable in some cases) is their ability to kick a ball.

So what do you think of the latest decision then? Do you think its fair?

yes cos otherwise itd create an air of unease in the dressing room and we WOULDNT function as well on the pitch, not that we do anyway but...........

Just finished reading this sentence from Paul Parker on Eurosports.

''The only people backing Terry are Chelsea fans — and racists, even though they may protest otherwise.''

Paul Parker you piece of absolute scum,i back JohnTerry

in full, for no other reason than to date,he has not been found guilty of the charge.
