MPs Debate for Europe

sounds like parliament are readying themselves for a mass debate on whether we should be a part of the EU or back the hell out, i think that any right minded individual with any common sense would most certainly get the hell out

i mean, who in their right mind wants to be going down on a sinking ship and taking themselves down just to save face and be another reason why england should keep their brown noses out, they should totally go it alone, i mean, we never followed with the euro and chose to stick with the pound, so why be part of the EU, it just seems dumb, and david camerons excuses are wearing thin

because the eu is our biggest trading partner and as a single entity can negotiate far better trade deals than any single country ever did.

they have also been the source of pretty much all the employee protection legislation for the last 20 odd years

of course, if you feel that we would be better as a slave state of the US or live in a fantasy world where we still have an empire then i can see why you would want us to leave

The experts cannot agree what the advantages or disadvantages of pulling out of Europe would be. If we did pull out however we could cut unemployment drastically because all the immigrants from the EU would no longer have a right to work here and we could send them packing pronto.

and then our economy would collapse because they are doing jobs which the locals are too idle or lack the skills to do, plus all the british people who currently work in the eu would also be forced to return and without jobs they would claim benefits

What about all the British working in the EU in France, Portugal & Spain - they'd have to come back - or do they not count?

i think the EU has caused its fair share of problems and the only reason why we are in it is money, if money was not an issue and moral grounds were respected then we would all be classed as one country, instead of little islands called countries which have wars and kill each other

We only took skilled people from abroad because our companies and private sector found it cheaper to rape the skills of other countries. Training would have to begin again.....AT LAST!

As for our people working abroad, they are usually highly skilled ones.

The economy would collapse you say?.........Well it isn't doing too well as things are now is it?

it would take months or even years to train everybody who needed training, so how would the economy function during that period?

you are quite correct that the economy isn't doing very well, so why should be do something that would make it worse.

We would be in a "short term sacrifice for long term gain" scenario. There would be a painful period, but it would be well worth the sacrifices. England was a much better place before the advent of mass immigration. It was friendlier, people were happier, there was not nearly so much violent crime and there was almost full employment....BRING IT ON!
