BHRemovals   10 #19 Posted October 24, 2011 I always get them this time of year, they not considered pest by council though
 Share this content via...
irenewilde   10 #20 Posted October 24, 2011 Me too, theres them other ones too, black with red spots, apparantely they are eating the larva of red ladybirds so wiping them out  Can I point out that the colour of the ladybird doesn't necessarily mark it out as a harlequin? It's the pattern of the spots. Please, please check some online images if you're unsure - the last thing we want is native ones being killed because someone thinks they're harlequins. irenewilde   10 #21 Posted October 24, 2011 I always get them this time of year, they not considered pest by council though  Of course they aren't! There's nothing "pest" like about them at all. And they'll keep your garden free of aphids. Please don't tell me you rang the council asking them to get rid of some ladybirds?
