Just wondering if anyone has ever gotten any type of freebie from Direct Cars.

I've had a car in past from them and got nothing, didn't ask as I presumed I wouldn't.

My mate reckons you can get a full tank of petrol and mats but I think he's telling me porkies, as they arent that type of garage, dealer of one sort of car

and work on very tight budgets.

If anyone, has treied even if you failed let me know, cos a pint is payable ! on the outcome.

I know, I know I'm a cheapskate !!!

Direct Cars don't give anything away and won't budge on the price, sold me a 14mth old car with one key which only came to light after I'd paid them the cheque they then refused to supply me with another key. Had to buy it myself at £150 cost.

There are some good deals there though, but they will skank you if you let your guard down.

I can't imagine any dealership in the world not going through with a 10,000 deal over a tank of petrol.

What profit is there for a dealer on a 10k deal? Isn't that what counts..?

Considering what you get for 10k at Direct Cars I'd say they must be making a decent amount

I think they have a thing about tans of fuel

I bought a £10k car and got refused a full tank - they would however replace all 4 tyres and with new and I got them to give me the trade in price I wanted. So they wouldnt budge on the price of the car or a tank of fuel - but then gave me more than that anyway in trade in and tyres.

for the price of cars i saw at directcars halfway also with budget of 10k i thought they were way over priced with no dealer warranty for what the equivilent you could buy at a dealer. the dealer tends to be a bit more flexible often throwing in free mats and full tank of petrol.

dont forget when you buy a branded car from the same brand dealer the warranty hassle if you ever need it touch wood so much more promising. where as second hand car garages make you go through paying it yourself and then obtaining a VAT receipt to claim it. so be prepared to budget about an extra 500 for this privilege.

mot and tax disc is not often given in my opinion if the other options are taken. ie free mats and tank of petrol
