Contrary to popular belief, I am NOT gay, but I hear Dempsey's in Town's good for lads of that persuasion.

I used to go there loads with my friends, Theres more straight people go there than people realise.

Is it better on a Fri or sat night

 

Both are good nights. Go before 9pm and its free to get in, after 9 its £5 to join and open to members only.

Unless of course you got there before 9 and you are free to stay until they close.

A quick rundown:

 

Club Xes, 195 Carlisle St. Open only Friday and Saturday Nights, from 9pm to 6am.

 

Lions Lair Burgess St. A Gay Friendly Pub open 7 days a week.

 

Dempseys, 1, Hereford St. Moorfoot, open 7 Days a week, from noon until very late (Around 4/5 at weekends), Food from noon until after midnight (Only local gay venue doing food). Various special/entertainment nights, mainly quizzes and karaoke, also local Theatre/drama productions upstairs.

Members Only/door charge after certain times, usually 10pm.

 

Affinity, Arundel Gate, next to TJ Hughes, open 7 days a week. Various entertainment (Cabaret on Fridays, also quizzes, etc.), door charge after 9pm at weekends.

 

One-Nighters:

Climax, Sheffield University Student Union (Next one Halloween Saturday)

Rumour, Hallam University Student Union (The HUBS), next one Friday 11th November.

Gay Fridays at 'The Attic' 40, Charter Sq, near Republica Club.

All these charge around £4-£5 on the door, and start around 10pm, going on to around 3am.
