Friendofpeak Posted October 21, 2011 Posted October 21, 2011 We are looking for people to help raise funds for Friends of the Peak District by taking part in a hair raising 80ft charity abseil at Miller’s Dale Bridge, which is near Tideswell in the heart of the stunning Peak District. This old railway viaduct is part of the Monsal Trail and under the watchful eye of trained professionals; you will abseil 80 feet down whilst we cheer you on from the safety of the ground beneath!! It costs just £25 (usual cost is £35) to take part and we really hope you can join us. Friends of the Peak District is the only charity dedicated to protecting the Peak District countryside. It remains fragile and vulnerable to a wide range of threats and we are reliant on the help of people who love the peak district to help us continue our work. Any sponsorship you can also raise will be hugely important to us. To take part phone 0114 266 5822, email mail@friendsofthepeak.org.uk or visit the website to download a booking form http://www.friendsofthepeak.org.uk. We look forward to hearing from you
