Looking Back Woodside Lane

hi i lived across from the turton the house number would br around the 50 mark i lived at 38 but i can only remember jonh anne and sandra unless there was 2 turton famalys liveing in the lane

I was born down Woodside lane in 1955 my maiden was Lindley, my mums Maiden Name was Beresford Sam and Clara Beresford, was her parents they had seven children, Sam, Walt, Ada, Mary, Nellie, (My mum) Elsie, William. I am one of seven, (Lindley) of which six was born down woodside lane. Rita, Janet, Shirley Mary, myself and Gary. We lived in 10 court 2. From there we went to Parson Cross, where my brother John was born.

 

hi i went to school with a girl called janet lindley i think her mate name was janet cutts

John, Anne, & Sandra are the kids to George & Lilly Turton, George was the eldest son to George (snr) and May and died mid 50's.

 

I am sure George & May lived on the lane earlier ?

That's amazing - my grandad was born on 8 Court 2 back in 1881. Family name was Bunting. By 1911 they had moved to Pitsmoor though, Thorndon Rd

George & May were my grandparents. John, Ann & Sandra are my cousins. George Snr & George Jnr died the same year in 1955.

Does anyone remember what number Woodside Lane the Turtons lived at ?

George & May with kids Ethel, Madge, Bernard and Alan around the late 40's early 50's ?

 

Ethel was my mum. I think they lived at 173 woodside lane.
