How refreshing to see someone from Admin saying it as it is.

Makes a real change from the usual Admin habit of lickin' Copper's boots

and kissing their asses.

Agree with your sentiments about admin saying what they feel.

However kittenta wasn't actually factual in what they said.

See my most above.

THERE WAS NO OBSTRUCTION!!!!!

THERE WAS NO OBSTRUCTION!!!!!

There was no obstruction? The obstruction was if someone wanted to pull out from Scrathewood and go up Herries, towards the hospital. The van also blocked the view of Scrathewood when coming up Herries.

As for Admin saying what they feel. My posts, unless stated or obviously otherwise, are my own views and opinions as a person and not those of the Admin team. I am a member too you know :). And I certainly don't kiss backsides! :gag:

Like I said before, I don't have an axe to grind with the police, they have been very useful to me in the past, however, when it comes to motorists it appears to be a different story. All that police presence on the off chance they catch someone with an out of date tax disc or a bit of weed in their back pocket, whilst someone is getting beaten somewhere (for example) and the police haven't got an available unit to send out?

I do wonder though, if something else came up, they have permission to jump ship and go elsewhere instead. Not so bad if that's the case I don't suppose.

No obstruction. If pulling out from Scrathewood, the van was positioned in a way that, you could see anything before and after it. Had the van been parked against the junction on the same side as Scrathewood, then you may have a point.

Highly unlikely they would deploy such resources for a dodgy tax disc or a bit of weed.:loopy:

More than likely linked to this:

If the scrap metal thieves are amongst those being targetted then good luck to them. The number of threads on this forum about scrappers would suggets the majority on here would agree. Bearing in mind they were positioned a few hundred yards from a well known scrap merchant.

THERE WAS NO OBSTRUCTION!!!!!

Even though she is part of the Admin, I found myself agreeing with Kittenta

when I understood her remarks to be about obstructing her view of a vehicle

emerging from Scraithwood Road and turning right to go up Herries Road, in

the same direction that she is travelling in.

They always make a bolt for it out of Scraithwood, sometimes they have little choice.

So if you maintain that Kittenta is factually incorrect, let me know as I'd

love to slap her ass.

Somehow, I think I might just have to wait a little bit longer for that pleasure.

Ahhhhhhhhhh. You explained it for yourself.

I went for lunch and didn't refresh the page after my previous post.

Lots of police at the bottom of Herries Road at Hillsborough this morning checking vans etc. but something else got my goat a little. Further up Herries, just where the fishing pond is and near the junction, is a plain black police ANPR or speed trap van, parked in the centre of the road in front of one of the central islands, parked right on the white lines:

http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?hl=en&ll=53.413983,-1.489999&spn=0.000026,0.019205&t=m&z=16&vpsrc=6&layer=c&cbll=53.414063,-1.489815&panoid=bVn6xMhlCkQLAi3TlaiRpQ&cbp=12,254.41,,1,8.75

Surely that cannot be a legal place to park a vehicle, even for the police? If so how is it acceptable for the police to park illegally so they can catch others for motoring offences?

Simple answer is, because they can. Don't forget exeeding the speed limit by a few mph is akin to murder to some posters on here.

Pity the Coppers arn't out catching real crims
