God, attitudes on this forum never fail to amaze me. Whinge, whinge, whinge about the police not doing enough to eradicate the use of uninsured/untaxed cars and when they do, what happens. Whinge, whinge, whinge!!!

I would have given you decent response, but it would have been very selfish of me to inconvience you by making you read it.

What i don't get is why they need to pull people over if they've got an anpr camera. I got pulled in on wednesday morning and was there for about 15 mins while they fiddled about with their smartphone things. I'm all for getting uninsured drivers off the road but i thought the point of the anpr cams is they should be able to tell i'm taxed tested and insured and the vans not reported stolen from their database?

I know sometimes they don't pick up all the information required so you may have been unfortunate enough to experience one of those moments.

Look on the positive side- they might catch some thieving scroates/scrappers, uninsured "travellers", OAPs on mobility scooters on the main road, chavs with dangerous staffies, kids being inconsiderate with fireworks, or cyclists riding on the pavement.

no they didnt, i cycled down the path on the pond side and they didnt even blink, and with that many coppers about with their faces covered you would have thought they might have taken the time to explain to me the law regarding riding on a footpath:hihi::hihi:
