ssnr29 Posted October 19, 2011 Posted October 19, 2011 I would like to say a big thank you to the lady who found my purse at the side of my car near the surgery on Buchanan Road and hung about until I returned to hand it to me. There was over £90 and my cards in the purse and I wasn't even aware that I had dropped it. Thank you so much, there are some honest people about.

crofty_bum Posted October 19, 2011 Posted October 19, 2011 glad to hear that, last week in the cinema I saw a lady drop a phone ( think it was an Iphone or something simlar ) i picked it up and gave it her, she looked at me like I was dog mess and walked off, good to see some are gratefull xx

jennycakes Posted October 19, 2011 Posted October 19, 2011 i found a purse it had no money in but bank cards driving license and gas/electric cards,i found her on facebook sent a message with my mobile number, whilst i was at work in local school i asked secretary if she knew the woman she said yes has kids here she rang her and the woman didnt realise it was gone, she came into school collected the purse never came to thank me or even replied to my facebook message!!!
scousemouse Posted October 20, 2011 Posted October 20, 2011 I would never expect a reward for doing what is right, BUT I would go into meltdown rage if the person didn't even say thanks, bad manners send me crazy!!! At least YOU know you did the right thing.
myangelcarly Posted October 20, 2011 Posted October 20, 2011 same thing happened to me a few years back, i found a purse, no money but a few credit cards and a bank card also a driving licence, not only that but a little photo with her credit card pin wrote on the back! i was on my way up to my mums at the time in high green when i found it on the bus, i found this lady in thompson local and i phoned her to say that i found her purse, i told her if she gave me her address i would drop it off, it was handy because she lived in chapletown same as me, so i dropped it in to her on my way home. she opened the door and took the purse, looked inside and said "there was over 100 pounds in this purse" and gave me a funny look and closed the door! now i didnt want a reward or anything but a thanks would have been nice!
