dazzy Posted October 19, 2011 Posted October 19, 2011 hi just wondering if anyone knows anyone or if you can fix a food processor, i bought my wife one and she has used it a few times and she went to use it again and found its not mixing, its not spinning or anything, it sounds like it is but it isnt, i have had the bottom off to see if the belt has broken or come off and it hasnt, i plugged it in to see if i can see why its not spinning and if i turn it upside down it starts to spin but not fast and it starts to smoke, i cant send it back to the store as its well past 12 months warranty now and my wife loves it and cant seem to find another just as good cheap enough to buy, helpppppp

alchresearch Posted October 20, 2011 Posted October 20, 2011 You could try Nova Electronics down Attercliffe, they fix anything electrical. But it might be hard sourcing the part. Ask for Joe.
shelleyis Posted October 22, 2011 Posted October 22, 2011 There's a new shop on Ecclesall Rd (nr Pronuptia wedding shop) called Tech Centre...their motto is "if it plugs in we can repair it." Got my toaster fixed for £9.99 (for all those who are about to comment "could've bought yourself a new one for £20 my retorts are: 1. I'd rather pay £10 than £20 and I'm a an avid recycler) I am well pleased that this shop now exists, might help stop us all being so 'disposable'. Anyway, mixers are pricy items actually so it may be worth taking it there.
andrejuan Posted October 22, 2011 Posted October 22, 2011 I think Hillsborough Electrical on Crooks do repairs

Just been through this processs relating to a computer bought 18 month ago. Give Consumer Direct a ring and they will verfy this and give you all the details.
