OxjamGoesPop Posted October 19, 2011 Posted October 19, 2011 On Wednesday 26th October, West Street Live will be hosting "Oxjam Goes Pop!", a showcase of the some of the UK's best up-and-coming pop talent, all in aid of Oxfam! Oxjam is Oxfam’s month-long music festival. It runs throughout October with hundreds of events around the UK. All events are run entirely by volunteers, and all proceeds go directly to Oxfam’s life-changing work around the world. The full line-up has now been confirmed as: Phoebe Jo Brown (formally of Hope and Girls Can't Catch, now performing her first EVER solo gig!) The Mend (new Manchester-based boyband) Lisa Ella (and R&B/reggae singer from Manchester) Christina Novelli (as seen on Channel 5's Candy Bar Girls) Jodie Connor (provided the vocals for Roll Deep's 'Good Times' and has also achieved solo success with 'Now or Never' and 'Bring It') Tickets are available from wegottickets at a price of £5 each, and are also available on the door. Doors open at 7pm with the first act on stage at 7:30pm. After the event a DJ will continue the party until 2am, with drinks offers available. Under 18s must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Don't miss your chance to see these amazing acts in an intimate venue - many of them are tipped to be huge for 2012!
