Cuey Posted October 19, 2011 Posted October 19, 2011 I shoot in Digital now with a Sony A350 but i have a couple of hundred old negatives i would like digitised. I had them done at a high street printer about 6 years ago but the quality was awful. They are fairly detailed pictures including a lot of colourful architecture from travels in South America and Central Asia (Khiva, Samerkand etc) shot with a Minolta SLR so the quality is good. What is the best option for getting them digitised so they are usable? I looked at Peak imaging but from what i could work out it would cost a fortune (i may be reading this wrong). The other option is that i can get a HP G4010 photo scanner from work at a very good price of £85. Is this an option or will i be horribly disappointed with the results? Once i'd done the scanning i could then stick it on E bay. Any advice from people who have done this would be good. The plan is to do a photo book for each of my Jaunts but obviously the photos need to be pretty good quality once converted.
