Choose 3 classic cars

Recommended Posts

So come on guys pick 3 cars you think were brilliant in there day or maybe they still are?

My choice would be......

http://pistonheads.co.uk/sales/1899693.htm I know this was never the best looking car on the market and never will be. But it has always been a legend in my mind everything about it just oozes excitement. I just love the fact that you knew noone looked at it and went wow but if you ever saw one you ALWAYS gave it the time of day. On this particular situation i cant say BMW ruined the new one because i do love the new M5

Second would be.....

http://pistonheads.co.uk/sales/3226711.htm Now again i know this has never been the best or most amazingly looking car. However i do love the fact that it was all about bright jumpers, rattly steering, white knuckle ride, etc I also love how it looks i mean come on..... even now when you look at it you must think darlin im about to do something bad please forgive me i absolutely love these

Last but not least would be....

http://pistonheads.co.uk/sales/1847263.htm The legend that was crowned a 1965 gt350 ford mustang, when i drive through gods gates id love it to be sideways in one of these. This is what classic muscle cars are all about the total disfunctionality of taking a corner, not particular fast but through and through ear bursting ROARS! Ive actually mentioned to the OH when we get married id love this as a wedding car.

I'll have a Reliant Scimitar GTE, a Jensen FF Mark II & a TVR Tuscan please

They won't get me very far without something conking out or dropping off, but God they look good as they do it

How about

Austin Healey 3000... what a good old British sports car should be..

Lancia Stratos.... used to lust after these after I saw them rallying when I was a youngster

Jensen FF.. first production car to have permanent 4 wheel drive and ABS

I saw a Bentley Continental the other day. It was in immaculate condition and would do for me.

I'm not really a sports car fan but I got taken for a spin in an e-type as a kid and I was smitten.

I think the DS is a Marmite type car. I just find them really beautiful and chic.

Merc 190E Cosworth Evo (gotta have at least one that's reasonably reliable...I had an "explanation" with one of these 'special 190' in the early 90s, and I was in a Delta Integrale. WHAT a car that Merc is, let me tell you! Forget your Lotus Carlton, the Germans already knew "how to make them" back then)

TVR Griffith 500 (came this >< close to buying one in early 2000s, meh!)

That ('Coyote' kit car)
