Gingerbarf   10 #14 Posted October 17, 2011 Not Read the Sun for a long time, it more of a celeb mag than a newspaper lately, but given that the Hillsborough disaster is to be discussed in the commons today is this their way of trying to win back a few liverpool fans?? think it will take more than that and will just infuriate another city and it's fans. well done the Sun you are the Boris Johnson of newspapers when it comes to slagging of city's. CorkerSWFC Â Â 10 #16 Posted October 17, 2011 What are they debating? ... seems cut and dried to me exactly what happened! Â Maybe it does to you but not to the 96 deceased human beings families it doesn't. Wouldn't you be a little sceptical if there were thousands of unread files on an incident one of your sons or daughters got killed in ? But I thought it had been established what had happened and lessons learned about crowd control? Why are they debating it all these years after the event? Jazzybmzoo   10 #19 Posted October 17, 2011 Brilliant report of a well-fought, pulsating game.  It's a shame that 'paper' didn't go the same way as the NOTW.  In other news, this photo is a lot funnier: http://www.owlstalk.co.uk/forums/index.php?/topic/157343-i-bet-this-bloke-feels-daft-tonight/
 Share this content via...
metalman   21 #20 Posted October 17, 2011 What if the Liverpool Fans don’t like what they hear …….. could be a Pandora’s box they are opening.  We can all guess what will happen then... they will claim that the records have been doctored. The trouble is there will be no end to this - if the documents released don't say exactly what the Liverpool families want to hear, they will just claim that all the documents haven't been made public and that the government are protecting the police by withholding the others. And on it will go for ever.  Anyway this is off topic.
 Share this content via...
JFKvsNixon   11 #21 Posted October 17, 2011 What are they debating? ... seems cut and dried to me exactly what happened!  If that was the case why hasn't the government released their papers on the subject?
 Share this content via...
Grandad.Malky   11 #22 Posted October 17, 2011 . Anyway this is off topic.  Why is it off topic, we are expanding on the reasons for the Sun to discredit Sheffield, or as the thread title says …….. Football dragged in the gutter
 Share this content via...
metalman   21 #23 Posted October 17, 2011 Why is it off topic, we are expanding on the reasons for the Sun to discredit Sheffield, or as the thread title says …….. Football dragged in the gutter  Because everybody will start arguing about Hillsborough and then the thread will be closed.
 Share this content via...
