backseatmafi   10 #229 Posted January 7, 2013 mine is a little obscure, its an old soul track by Donny Hathaway.. beautiful voice, great singer/pianist. couldn't handle the fame and died tragically. I think I should like it at my funeral (hopefully not for a good while yet) - its called 'someday we'll all be free'   Posted from Sheffieldforum.co.uk App for Android
 Share this content via...
shanes teeth   10 #230 Posted January 7, 2013 I'll make no bones about it I'am the biggest music fan you would ever want to meet but if ever a debut album was better than the Jake Bugg album I have just been listening to then I know nothing. p.s I know loads:)  Can't disagree with any of that. It is,indeed, an extraordinary debut! Not far behind though is the recent debut album by Blair Dunlop,Blight and Blossom.Acoustic and more pure "folky" than Bugg it is an excellent and original album. Not far behind though is the recent debut album by Blair Dunlop,Blight and Blossom.Acoustic and more pure "folky" than Bugg it is an excellent and original album.  I have heard some of Blair Dunlops last album it kind of reminds me of Neil Mcsweeney and I do like what I have heard. Back slightly to the Jake Bugg album all I can say is for an eighteen year old it is brilliant his parents must have a great record collection I hate to compare new artists with old but I can hear Bob Dylan,Jonny Burnett, donovan,Bob Lind, cast and the la's. I haven't been as instantly struck by an album since I first heard Pete Molinaris A Virtual Landslide and this may be better!
