With all this speculation its probably a practice run for carrying the Queen or someone from our lovely royal family wanting to visit.

 

I've checked the Royal.gov.uk website at future engagements. This states that there are no Royal Visits in Yorkshire this month or next

Practice runs of some form. My son saw them driving up and down St Mary's Gate several times, with the cop bikers stopping traffic on the roundabout on each turn. They also visited the SUFC car park.

I wonder if David Cameron is to visit as part of the election campaign eg visit to the Advanced Manufacturing Park and then across the City to the Hallamshire Hosp / University

Passed me on the lower tier of Tinsley Viaduct. Very dramatic. Several vehicles travelling at speed. Money well spent (Taxpayers money) or just big boys playing with big boys toys. Must have been quite a number of officers involved. If it was a proper operation ok, but if it was just an exercise ?

Maybe it's the latest big boys game seeing as they don't have the helicopter now to circle round tower blocks shining their big light into peoples homes at 3am in the morning.
