From what I know Beattie is a good friend of Billy Sharp.

Thus rumour surfaced a few months ago.

He has stated he loves the club and still wore his united shin pads while at Rangers.

Seems United may have draged their heels to long on this one, but if it means we dont sign an unfit player so be it ! Southampton want to take the risk ..fair enough.

 

John Ebrell was a lesson learnt.

 

I for one however admit , i would love to see JB back.

 

This thread has an unfortunate tone, typical of the forum at present, come on lads at least add a bit of banter and humour to the threads, its attempted wind ups season at the mo !! Junior Blades and now this??

Unfortunately you are right. All the comments being quoted can still be true apart from the one about him coming back to the Lane.

 

Once Evans came back i wasn't bothered about Beattie. Having Cresswell, Beattie and Evans would have been overkill. I would prefer to see a quicker striker to replace Slew.

I'd love him back, but as has been said, if he's not fit - I agree with waiting till he is.

 

Southampton is a good shout, with his previous connections.

They have plenty of money for wages too.
